Humble vision of Yoga—“Not teaching, but Sharing”
Welcome !
Swasti literally means “LET GOOD PREVAIL” which is the core philosophy of Life.
Swasti Yogashala is a result of the constant effort and will of Sri Surinder Singh Ji to establish a school of Yoga that believes in sharing with full devotion. Here, Yoga is practiced while keeping the concept of Karma Yoga. Swasti Yogashala offers daily drop-in classes, Teacher Training Courses and workshops on specific and contemporary topics of immense importance.

Yoga of Compassion and Action
Surinder Singh teaches Hatha Yoga—a combination of yogasana, pranayama and meditation—in an atmosphere of cordiality and support. It is this atmosphere, energy and its vastly positive effect on practice that students notice and return for, year after year. A mechanical engineer by education, Surinder integrates principles of mechanical physics into his teaching, turning them into the biomechanics of asana alignment, adjustment and yoga practice as a whole.
Surinder Singh was initiated into the tradition of yoga by his teacher and guru Sri Swami Dharmananda, then the superior of Ved Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh. Today, thousands of yoga practitioners from around the world call Surinder Ji their main teacher. He is immensely popular in Russia through his teaching at Swasti Yoga.
In his classes, Surinder Singh teaches general yoga practice and mass adjustment in a class setting, gives workshops on asana alignment and adjustment, and tunes students into the “real yoga”—Yoga of Compassion and Action.

Swasti Yogashala
At Swasti Yogashala, we believe Yoga is for everyone. It is our mission to honour and embrace each student’s search for personal growth, wellbeing and fulfilment by offering ideal Yoga programs to people of all ages and all walks of life.
Swasti Yogashala is a Yoga Alliance registered school providing insight into Asana, Pranayama and other practices from the tradition of Hatha Yoga. Daily asana classes and teacher training courses are conducted throughout the year. The classes are deep, spiritual and informative. At the end of each class, a short talk—satsang—is given, where questions about philosophy, practice, love, life and everything in between are welcome.
